robert moved to mexico city in 2020 with a conviction that the future of north american commerce would be built at the borders, not managed from a distance. what began as a series of quiet introductions between canadian founders and mexican partners became a practice, and eventually, an institution.

over six years, he built the kind of trust that doesn't appear on a slide deck: the kind earned by showing up to meetings that get rescheduled three times, navigating regulatory conversations in two languages, and understanding that in mexico, the real negotiation happens after the formal one ends.

robert sits on bilateral trade committees, participates in the tmec/usmca review process, and was a delegate on the largest canadian trade mission to mexico in history: 370 delegates, 240 organizations, 23 deals totaling hundreds of millions in value, february 2026. led by the honourable dominic leblanc, president of the king's privy council for canada.
